We thought we had seen it all. Until we saw this! The brilliant folks at Nite Ize teamed
up with the equally bright minds from INOVA, and the result is this remarkable piece of
technological wizardry. The multi-purpose, multi-environment portable lighting device,
imagined for the future in science fiction movies, is available today for less than fifteen
bucks! It serves as a tent light, a dive marker light, an emergency signal beacon, and
so much more. The potential applications seem endless. The wand is brighter than a
standard chemical lightstick, but it will provide light for about twice as long. And when
it finally goes out, you can easily and quickly replace the batteries and start it up again.
You can even store an extra set of batteries in the head! The long term operating cost
and discarded waste materials are lower than with single-use chemical lightsticks, but
the wand is far more versatile, and it delivers more useful lighting with longer run times.
When you need a nightlight for your tent or motel room, just set it to the low brightness
mode. When you need a signal beacon for roadside emergencies, set it to the flasher
mode. An adjustable lanyard is included, so you can carry it anywhere, and then hang
it up for 360° area lighting when you get there. The durable wand body is rated water-
proof to 500 feet (150 meters), and can be used for all sorts of water sports activities.
The polished end of the wand throws a concentrated spot beam for tasks like reading
or searching the glove box or changing a fuse. At the heart of each wand is a special
version of the INOVA MicroLight flashlight, without the timed automatic shut-off feature
(so it won't go off when you need it to stay on). Great for the car, boat, home, or office.

Note that for certain highly specialized applications, the UltraViolet or InfraRed model
of the standard INOVA MicroLight can be installed into the wand (but these types are
not available packaged with the wand). Always be sure to wear UV-protective yellow
filter glasses for safety when working with or around UltraViolet sources of any kind.

THE WAND - |

A rugged polycarbonate head is bonded to a durable acrylic light beam wand. |
|
The light wand has an etched outer surface for smooth and even 360° lighting,
and a flat polished end that projects a tight circular spot beam for task lighting. |

The head has a single-twist removable cap. Individual compartments within
the head provide storage for the MicroLight, spring clip, and spare batteries. |
|
To switch on, change modes, or switch off the light, you will need to unscrew
the cap, and then replace it when done (this takes around ten seconds total). |
|
An o-ring between the head and the cap ensures a reliable water-tight seal. |
|
The wand with its MicroLight installed will float in fresh or salt water. If spare
batteries are carried, the complete package exhibits near-neutral buoyancy. |

Includes a sturdy nylon lanyard with an adjustable stop for secure mounting. |

Available with four LED colors: White for general purposes, Red for hunters and
astronomers, Green for pilots and military, or Blue for police and forensics uses.

replaced (just use an ordinary house key to pop open the back of the flashlight). |
