to both its retail dealers and its master distributors.  We have some remaining
inventory for sale as indicated below, at our original prices. Items marked with
higher prices result from the factory's change to its distribution policies. Those

amazon.com)  but at dramatically higher prices than before.  We apologize for

An Important Message Regarding MagLite C-Cell And D-Cell Flashlight Bulbs
Note that MagLite has released its updated Magnum Star II xenon bulbs.  This
new high-performance xenon bulb type is now available for all two-cell through
six-cell C- or D-battery incandescent MagLite flashlights.  The production of all
original White Star and Magnum Star bulb types has been discontinued by the
factory, so as remaining inventories of those obsolete types are depleted, only
the newer Magnum Star II types will be available for purchase. The new bulbs
have a bi-pin (or two-wire) base configuration, instead of a traditional PR-style
flange base,  and they will fit directly into the bi-pin sockets of MagLite's latest
incandescent flashlight models. But each new bulb package includes a special
conversion socket and a new bulb retainer collar, so these newer bulbs can be
very easily retrofitted into all existing C&D-battery MagLite models.  The latest
Magnum Star II bulb types will provide significantly brighter output, and also an
improved beam quality, when compared to their earlier White Star krypton and
Magnum Star xenon bulb products, so you can much improve an old MagLite's
performance for the cost of a bulb.  But note that the new Magnum Star II bulbs
cannot be retrofitted into other brands of flashlights that use old PR-style bulbs.

Note that the lamp retainer collar (that threaded ring that holds the bulb in place
in its socket for C-cell and D-cell MagLites) now exists in two versions.  A new
collar version, having a narrower throat than the original, is included with every
Magnum Star II bi-pin xenon bulb.  This new collar (part number 201-000-599)
is designed to secure a new Magnum Star II bi-pin adapter in the lamp socket.
But the new collar will not fit over their conventional flange-based incandescent
bulbs (and also cannot be used with some LED bulb retrofits).  Conversely, the
original collar (part number 200-000-057) will not work with the new bi-pin bulb
adapter.  All of this can lead to retrofit issues, so call us if you need assistance.

Are you concerned because the bulb in your Mini MagLite 2AA flashlight does
not look exactly like the ones shown above?  It can be a bit confusing, because
over the past ten years or so, MagLite has manufactured several different bulb
versions for the Mini MagLite 2AA.  The beaded area at the bottom of the bulb
could be pinkish-clear, or green, or black, or a milky-clear color, depending on
which iteration of bulb you happen to have.  We sell only the latest model, but if
your Mini MagLite flashlight uses two AA size batteries, our bulbs will work just
fine.  The new German-made bulbs are brighter than any of the earlier versions.

MagLite has discontinued production of seven-cell Magnum Star krypton bulbs,
and no longer makes any bulb that will fit 7C or 7D flashlights, since those were
last made more than three decades ago.  No more of the genuine MagLite type
LMSA701 seven-cell bulbs are known to exist anywhere within the USA.  Some
online dealers now offer a generic standard flange-based bulb, the type number
PR20, and it has appropriate voltage & current specifications for the flashlights.
But improved performance  and bulb life  can be achieved with the  hard-to-find
type number KPR20, which is a krypton-filled bulb.  We have them in stock now.

MagLite has been making replacement bulbs for decades, so beware of older
stock when buying online.  Some dealers still show bulbs packed on white and
gray blister cards.  Those were last made in 2002 (10+ years ago), and are not
as bright as the later bulbs packed on blue blister cards, produced since 2003
(with the exception of the Solitaire 1AAA bulb, which has never been updated).
Similarly, the latest and brightest (recently updated) halogen bulbs for the Mag-
Charger rechargeable  are now packaged on  red blister cards instead of blue.

This page also details the original Mag-LED lamp replacement modules, which
had a powerful three-Watt LED.  Those modules have been discontinued by the
factory, and are no longer available for sale.  However, we offer a variety of fine
quality LED modules from TerraLUX and Nite Ize for most of the MagLite brand
flashlights.  Visit our product details page for your specific flashlight model, then
scroll down to the Accessories section to check for the available LED modules.

Solitaire
Original replacement bi-pin miniature bulbs for Solitaire
models.  Battery time is 3-4 hours with a single AAA-cell.
Mini MagLite
Original replacement bi-pin miniature bulbs for MiniMagLite AA and AAA
models.  Battery times: 2-3 hours with AAA-cells, or 5-6 hours with AA-cells.
Newly redesigned bulbs for the 2AA MiniMagLite have Xenon gas fill for better
performance and longer operating life than the earlier standard or Krypton bulbs.
White Star  Discontinued
Original replacement White Star bulbs for most C-cell and D-cell models have
Krypton gas fill.  Battery times: 4-5 hours with C-cells, or 9-11 hours with D-cells.
Glass bead color: 2-cell green, 3-cell blue, 4-cell pink, 5-cell brown, 6-cell white.
These flange-based bulbs may not fit the very latest C-cell and D-cell models that have bi-pin (two-wire) bulb sockets.
